Birthplace: Brazil

I have a Biology degree at Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo (2005), with masters (2008) and PhD (2014) in Science (Genetics and Evolutionary Biology) at University of São Paulo (USP). I have concluded post doctoral fellowships at Escola Superior de Agricultura "Luiz de Queiroz" (ESALQ), with an one-year experience abroad at American Museum of Natural History, and at Universidade Estadual Paulista "Júlio de Mesquisa Filho", campus Jaboticabal (UNESP). I am an experienced researcher in the field of Systematics and Taxonomy of extant and fossil taxa, focusing my studies on diversification patterns, phylogenetics and phylogeography of Neotropical mammals. Currently I am a postdoctoral researcher at Vale Institute of Technology with a main role in the Genomics of the Brazilian Biodiversity consortium, working in projects proposed by Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation aiming to develop genetic and genomic tools for the conservation, monitoring, and management of Brazilian species. I am also an associate researcher in two research groups, the Mammal Lab at ESALQ (LMUSP) and the Núcleo de Pesquisa e Conservação de Cervídeos (NUPECCE/UNESP). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
