Graduated in Biomedicine, Master's degree in Microbiology, Immunology and Parasitology, with the study on the detection of invasive enterobacteriaceae strains by the ELISA method, Paulista School of Medicine - Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP-EPM). Doctorate in Sciences Applied to Pediatrics, with the study of the behavior of the intestinal microbiota in sepsis, Paulista School of Medicine - Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP-EPM). Post-doctorate carried out at the Laboratory of Experimental Organ Transplantation linked to the Postgraduate Program in Multidisciplinary Surgical Science and Science Applied to Pediatrics, UNIFESP-EPM, with the experimental study of modulation of infection by the autonomic nervous system in Sepsis and effects on the intestinal microbiota. Since 2003, collaborates on research projects in the medical, microbiological, and biotechnology fields. Co-supervised master's and doctoral theses and is the supervisor of the Experimental Research Laboratory coordinated by Professor Dr. Ivan H.J. Koh, UNIFESP-EPM. As a professional, head manager of the Microbiology Laboratory of the São Paulo Jockey Club Veterinary Hospital (1989-2003). Research areas focus on bacterial translocation, sepsis, intestinal microbiota, bacterial pathogenesis, disinfection, microcirculatory dysfunction in sepsis, and animal models. Since 2010, collaborates with Plasma Laboratory of the Institute of Aeronautical Technology (ITA) on studies related to biotechnological processes aimed at disinfection and biocompatibility using nanotechnology through Plasma Technology and projects involving ozone technology. From 2018 - 2024 was an associate researcher of the project: Sepsis, mechanisms, therapeutic targets and epidemiology, Federal University of São Paulo, Brazil.l. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
