Holds a degree in Meteorology from the University of São Paulo (2011), a master's degree in Meteorology from the National Institute for Space Research (2013) and a PhD in Meteorology from the National Institute for Space Research (2017). He is currently a Professor at the Department of Atmospheric Sciences at IAG-USP. His main research focus is on the physics of convective clouds through remote sensing instruments and high resolution numerical models. In particular, he seeks to study the effects of anthropogenic pollution on the cloud and rain regimes in the Amazon and the consequences for the planet's climate.
