Danillo Cunha de Almeida e Silva

PhD candidate in the Bioinformatics Inter-Institutional Grad Program at the University of São Paulo (USP), Master's degree holder in the same program, and Bachelor's degree holder in Biological Sciences from the School of Philosophy, Sciences, and Letters of Ribeirão Preto - USP. I have experience in the field of Computer Science, in which I worked for two years, and experience in Genetics, with emphasis on Bioinformatics. I worked on "in silico" gene search for miRNA expression and in research with emphasis on Molecular Biology of plants and organisms. I conducted research in bioinformatics related to sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum) and bioenergy at the Biological Information Processing Laboratory (LabPIB). I worked on "in silico" analysis of Halobacterium salinarum organism. I' m currently conducting bioinformatics research in health sciences related to cancer, arrays and epigenetics.
