I obtained both my BSc in biology and MSc in genetics from Universidade de São Paulo, in 2009 and 2013, respectively. In 2018 I finished my PhD in Evolution, Ecology and Behavior, at Indiana University, Bloomington. Then I did two postdocs, from 2018 to 2021 at University of Auckland, and from 2021 to 2024 at Washington University in St. Louis. In mid-2024 I start as assistant professor at Louisiana State University (LSU). Broadly, I study how different evolutionary processes mold our planet's biodiversity over time and space. My approach is statistical and computational: I design, implement and use probabilistic models in evolutionary inference about morphological and molecular characters, species diversification and relationships, and geographic distribution.
