Flávia Feitosa holds a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2002) and a master's degree in Remote Sensing from the National Institute for Space Research (2005). She conducted her doctoral research at the Center for Development Research (ZEF) and earned a PhD in Geography from Rheinisch Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn (Germany) in 2010. Since 2013, she has been a professor at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC). Currently, she serves as the coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Territorial Planning and Management (PGT). In addition, she is a faculty member of the Bachelor's programs of Planning and Management of the Territory (PGT), Bachelor's in Sciences and Humanities (BCH), and the International Joint Master of Science SPRING - Regional Development Planning and Management (joint degree TU Dortmund University/UFABC).Her research activities have contributed to advancing the analysis of patterns and dynamics of social inequalities in urban spaces, aiming to enhance the understanding of phenomena such as segregation, vulnerability, and housing needs. She has been developing new methodologies that strive to expand the boundaries of spatial analysis methods and techniques for urban studies (urban analytics). Throughout this process, she has innovated by integrating academic knowledge from various fields with practical planning experience. In recent years, her main focus has been on developing new analytical frameworks for a systemic and multidimensional understanding of the housing situation in Brazil. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
