Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Instituto de Química de São Carlos (IQSC)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Lucas Henrique Eiras dos Santos was born in Marília-SP and obtained the PhD degree in Sciences (Physical Chemistry) by the São Carlos Institute of Chemistry, University of São Paulo (IQSC-USP, 2019), and the BSc degree in Chemistry (Materials Chemistry; IQSC-USP, 2014). His thesis, supervised by Prof. Dr. Artur de Jesus Motheo, correlates the conditions for electrosynthesis of nanocomposite conducting polymeric coatings, to their performance on the protection against metallic corrosion. Lucas was granted a doctoral scholarship by CNPq (Grant Number 140669 / 2014-0), from 03/2014 to 02/2018; and a undergraduate research scholarship by FAPESP (Grant Number 2010 / 07495-7), from 07/2010 to 09/2012. In addition to the development of coating materials for protection against metallic corrosion, Lucas also collaborated in research for the development of anodic materials and the use of electrochemical processes for the removal of organic pollutants from the aqueous medium. He is currently Senior Chemist at the Companhia Brasileira de Metalurgia e Mineração (CBMM) and works on the development of niobium (V) oxide products. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
