Bachelor's degree from the Federal University of Viçosa (2007) and a Masters in Genetics, Federal University of Viçosa (2010), where she worked with molecular phylogeny of stingless bees. PhD in Sciences (specialty area: Genetics) at the Medical School of Ribeirão Preto / USP, specializing at the University of Otago (Dunedin, New Zealand), specifically stunding Gene Expression, identification and analysis of mRNA and stage-specific of honeybees. Has worked at the University of Florida (2015-2016), as a postdoctoral fellow, in the expression and production of recombinant proteins, candidates for the malaria vaccine. Recently worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Rene Rachou - Fiocruz / Minas Institute, continuing his work at USF-USA, with a production of recombinant proteins and studies in response to the immune against Vivax malaria. She also workes, as post-doctoral, at the University of Nottingham (UK), on a bilateral CAPES-UoN project - Drug discovery, working on the identification and characterization of new drugs against S. mansoni. Currently she is back to work as a postdoctoral fellow at the Rene Rachou Institute, once again working on the Molecular Biology and Immunology Malaria Research Group. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
