I have a PhD in Work, Employment and Organisation from the University of Strathclyde, MBA from the University of São Paulo (USP), and a first-class honours BA in Psychology from São Paulo State University (UNESP), with an exchange period at Université Lille 3, in France. This project intends to understand what kind of subject is supposed to be the perfect self according to different proposals of teaching in Brazil, taking the Brazilian Educational Reforms as the basis for our inquiry. Accordingly, we will sketch a historical view regarding the function designated to the education in the western culture, particularly in Brazil. (AU)
