Thalita Bachelli Riul

Graduated in Pharmacy-Biochemistry from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo. Master (2010) and Doctor (2014) in Sciences by the Postgraduate Program in Biosciences Applied to Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo. Currently Adjunct Professor of the Pharmacy Undergraduate Course and professor of the Postgraduate Program in Biotechnology at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Food and Nutrition (FACFAN), Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS). Coordinator of the Pharmacy Undergraduate Course (2020-2021). Has experience in projects involving production and purification of recombinant proteins, murine monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies, standardization of immunodetection techniques, in vivo and in vitro assays of infection with Trypanosoma cruzi and Leishmania spp, screening of new drugs and formulations against such pathogens, as well as evaluation of experimental infection in vivo, and the role of natural products and carbohydrate-recognizing molecules (peptides, galectins and anti-carbohydrate antibodies) in the host response to parasitic infections.
