Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Instituto de Ciências Matemáticas e de Computação (ICMC) (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal) Birthplace: Argentina
Graduation in Nuclear Engineering from Instituto de Fisica Dr. J. A. Balseiro (2004) and PhD in Engineering from Instituto de Fisica Dr. J. A. Balseiro (2010). Between 2010 and 2012 he was a Postdoctoral fellow at University of São Paulo at São Carlos (Brazil). After that, he worked for IBM Research Brazil in the Natural Resources division in the area of Computational modeling for the Oil & Gas industry. Since August 2014 he is a Professor at ICMC-USP where he obtained the habilitation in 2020. His main research interests are: Finite element/level set modeling, two-phase immiscible flows with aplications to microfluidics, capillarity and other surface tension related phenomena. He also works on the numerical modeling of hydrodynamic lubrication, cavitation phenomena and simulation of piston rings for the automotive industry and the multiscale modeling of petroleum reservoirs.
