In this project we will develop the study of the fundamental group. We will see that the fundamental group is an invariant topological, i,e., homeomorphic spaces have fundamental groups isomorphic. Also we will estudy important applications, such as the Brouwer's fixed point theorem and the Borsuk-Ulam's theorem.
