Full Professor at the Institute of Biology, Federal University of Bahia (UFBA). PhD in Plant Biology (UNICAMP), Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, San Francisco_ Medical Center and Associate Researcher at UCSF (20002006). Leads interdisciplinary projects in the fields of Microalgae Biotechnology, Protein Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology. Permanent Professor in the Graduate Program in Biotechnology (PPGBiotec) at the Institute of Health Sciences (ICS/UFBA).Teaches both undergraduate courses in Biology and Pharmacy at UFBA. Researcher and Coordinator of the Laboratory of Bioprospecting and Biotechnology (LaBBiotec) at the Institute of Biology, UFBA.
