He holds a master's degree in History from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (1993) and a doctorate in History from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (1998). He is currently Full Professor, Doctor at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo. He has experience in the area of #8203;#8203;History, with an emphasis on Modern and Contemporary History, working mainly on the following themes: Latin America, institutional violence, state, autocracy and dictatorship. Coordinates the Center for Studies on the History of Latin America (CEHAL-PUCSP) and the Big Data Platform - Observatory of Institutional Violence and Human Rights (OVP-DH.ORG.) Currently, he is part of the research group coordinated by the CAAF - Center for Anthropology and Forensic Archeology CAAF/Unifesp, financed with resources donated by Volkswagen do Brasil S/A under the Conduct Adjustment Term resulting from civil investigations by the Federal Public Ministry, Public Ministry of the State of São Paulo and Public Ministry of Labor against alleged violations committed by the company during the Dictatorship.
