Received his MS (1999) and PhD (2003) in Analytical Chemistry from the Institute of Chemistry at the University of São Paulo (Brazil), where he was a postdoctoral research fellow (2004-2005). From 2009 to 2010 he was a visiting scholar at the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Harvard University. He is currently a professor in the Institute of Chemistry at State University of Campinas (Brazil).
