He is the director of SAIEC, the central service for the reception and support of international students and researchers in Eastern Occitania, based in Montpellier. He was the project manager for international relations (strategic cooperation) at Sorbonne University. He worked as a temporary lecturer at Université Paris 8 and Université Gustave Eiffel, and was responsible for academic programs at the ModeEstah school, also in France. He coordinated the academic programs outreach service of the French Embassy in Brazil. He holds undergraduate degrees in International Relations from the University of São Paulo, in History from Université Paris Nanterre, and in Educational Sciences from Université Paris 8. He also holds masters degrees in Social History (University of São Paulo) and in Educational Sciences Specialization in International Cooperation in Education and Training (Université Paris Cité). He is a member of the Middle East and Muslim World Working Group at FFLCH-USP, a former member of the editorial board of Malala magazine, and served as department coordinator and advisor for academic and university cooperation at the French Embassy in Brazil. He was a member of the thematic group The Foreigner and the City Building at FAU-USP, with research in the field of urban sociology. He also conducted undergraduate research in History, Urban Sociology, History of International Relations, and History of the Middle East. He was a researcher at the Analyse Comparée des Pouvoirs (ACP) laboratory and an associate of LabEx Futurs Urbains, with his research funded by the Initiative Science-Innovation-Territoire-Économie French UniversiTy on Urban Research and Education (I-Site FUTURE). His current research focuses on understanding, from a historical and social perspective, the relationship between urban policies and the national political regimes in which they are embedded, as well as the temporary and precarious housing of construction workers involved in major urban modernity projects in the second half of the 20th century.
