Graduated in Medicine from the University of São Paulo (FMUSP)(1990), Residency in Endocrinology at Hospital das Clínicas - FMUSP (1994) and Preceptorship at HCFMUSP (1995). She completed her PhD in Endocrinology at FMUSP (1999) and Post-doctoral in Endocrinology at the University of São Paulo (2004). She is currently the head of the Thyroid Unit of the Endocrinology and Metabology Discipline at Hospital das Clinicas-FMUSP and head of Cellular and Molecular Endocrinology Laboratory (LIM / 25) -FMUSP. She is a collaborating professor at Faculty of Medicine - USP, working in the MEdicine School. She is a supervisor in the FMUSP at Postgraduate Program and coordinator of the Postgraduate Discipline. She has experience in the area of Endocrinology, working mainly on the following topics: 1. Autoimmune thyroid diseases, such as Hashimoto's thyroiditis and Graves' disease; 2. Thyroid diseases before, during and after pregnancy; 3. Thyroid diseases associated with medications and other illnesses; 4. Clinical and molecular diagnosis, follow-up and treatment of thyroid nodules, goiter and thyroid cancer; 5. Molecular diagnosis of congenital hypothyroidism She is Endocrinology Specialist obtained from the Society of Endocrinology and Metabology (SBEM). She is a member of the American Thyroid Association, Latin American Thyroid Society, Endocrine Society and SBEM. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
