Bachelor of Science in Physics (1987) with a master's (1990) and doctorate (1994) from the University of São Paulo. Livre Docente at the Federal University of São Paulo, where she joined in 2006. She currently holds the position of Full Professor at UNIFESP. She was the Head of the Physics Department from 2017-2020. She works in the Postgraduate Program in Technology and Sustainability Sciences at UNIFESP Diadema. She is the Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Physics at UNIFESP. She collaborates with: Butantan Institute, IPEN-SP, Albert Einstein Hospital, Physics Institute of USP, Chemistry Institute of USP, and Université de Technologie de Troyes, in France. She has experience in the area of Physics, with an emphasis on Optical Properties and Spectroscopy of Condensed Matter; Other Interactions of Matter with Radiation and Particles, working mainly on the following topics: theranostics, lasers, biosensors, crystals, amorphous materials, spectroscopy, lipoproteins, atherosclerosis, fluorescence microscopy, nanotechnology, optical diagnosis, liquid biopsy, nanopriming, among others. She has experience as a Member of the Editorial Board of Journals: Scientific Reports, Journal of Luminescence, Journal of Fluorescence, Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology, among others. Invention patents: BR102014016592-A2, BR200602279-A2; BR200602279-B1 and BR9600093-A5. Researcher at INCT-Fx, National Institute of Science and Technology for Complex Fluids of the CNPq (2009-present). Member of the Brazilian Physical Society and the Brazilian Society of Optics and Photonics.
