Graduated in Physics at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (2004), Masters in Physics at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (2006), doctorate in physics from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2011) and post doctorate at the State University of Campinas. Works in experimental condensed matter physics with emphasis on spectroscopic and structural determination with the following techniques: XPS, LEED, Mössbauer, RHEED, XPD.
