Paulo Schor is an ophthalmologist and active surgeon, graduated from FMRP-USP. He completed his Medical Residency in Ophthalmology in 1991 at the same institution, and his Master?s degree (1995), Doctorate (1997) and Livre Docência (2003) at the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP). He completed part of his doctorate at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he was also a Visiting Professor (2012). He is currently an associate professor at the Paulista School of Medicine at UNIFESP, where he has supervised more than 40 postgraduate students, was Director of the Innovation Agency and Head of its Ophthalmology Department. He is a collaborating professor at the Einstein School of Medicine and Deputy Coordinator for Research Innovation at FAPESP. He has published 150 complete articles in specialized journals with more than 1300 citations and H Factor = 23, in addition to more than 375 works and participations in events. He has 50 book chapters and 1 published book. He participated in the development of 21 technological products, 25 innovative processes or techniques, 7 software programs (3 registered), and obtained 5 patents. He is a mentor, consultant, and founded nascent technology companies (start-ups). He has received 5 awards and/or honors. He serves as a counselor for philanthropic and privately held healthcare companies, accumulating more than 30 years of experience on boards of collegiate bodies of state and federal public administration. He is a CNPq Productivity Fellow in Technological Development and Innovative Extension level A, and his lines of development and research are Medical Design, Bioengineering, Physiological Optics, Refractive Surgery, and Visual Perception. In his professional activities he interacted with 186 collaborators in co-authorships of scientific papers. He founded and coordinates the multidisciplinary open innovation group MedHacker1 (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
