I am a Professor at the School of Arts, Sciences and Humanities (EACH) of the University of São Paulo in the area of Remote Sensing and Geoprocessing. I graduated in geography (FFLCH - USP) and did my master's and PhD in geological oceanography at the Oceanographic Institute of the University of São Paulo with an internship at the Département de géologie et océanographie of the Université de Bordeaux I - France; I also did a post-doctoral internship at the Oceanographic Institute with sediment transport in coastal areas. I worked as a field geophysicist in the seismic field for Schlumberger in Norway and Abu Dhabi (UAE).. My main line of research is the application of geotechnologies (remote sensing and Geographic Information Systems) to characterise marine and coastal habitats. I also participate in research into the development and application of Spatial Data Infrastructures (SDIs) applied to coastal management and marine spatial planning. I have a special interest in teaching and publicising Earth Sciences. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
