Abstract

The present project aims the evaluation and analysis of the effectiveness of different methodologies for the classification of high resolution satellite images of commercial (World View III) and also free access (Google Earth), thus helping to characterize patterns of coastal and marine habitats. The study area will be the intralagunar region of Suape Industrial Port Complex (PE). It is intended, in addition, to indicate aspects about the potential using maps of distribution of marine habitats obtained by remote sensing as subsidies for the characterization and monitoring of coastal areas, providing basis for management and governance actions.
