Graduated in English Language and Literature from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (1976), a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics and Language Studies from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (1981) and a PhD in Applied Linguistics and Language Studies from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (1990). Full professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo of the Communication and Semiotics and Literature and Literary Criticism Programs. Coordinator of the Research Group on Creation Processes since 1993. Author of the books Crítica Genética - Fundamentals of genetic studies on the process of artistic creation 3rd ed (São Paulo, Educ, 2008); Unfinished Gesture - Artistic Creation Process 5 ed. expanded (São Paulo, Intermeios, 2011); Networks of Creation: construction of the work of art (Vinhedo, Editora Horizonte, 2006); Archives of Creation: criticism and curation.
