Vera Lucia Silveira Botta Ferrante

Graduated in Social Sciences from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho - UNESP (1966) and PhD in Sociology from UNESP (1974). She defended free teaching at UNESP (1992), defended the competition for Full Professor in 1998. She is currently coordinator of the Graduate, Master's and Doctoral Program in Territorial Development and the Environment. Since July 2016, she has been appointed to serve as Pro-Dean of Stricto Sensu Graduate Studies and Research at the University of Araraquara. CNPq Research Productivity Scholarship - Level 1A. He was Vice-President and President of ALASRU (Latin American Association of Rural Sociology (2010-2014). He participates in the network of Latin American researchers dedicated to the discussion of ruralities and current dilemmas in the agrarian world. Since the 1990s, he has coordinated the NUPEDOR research group - Rural Research and Documentation Nucleus and the Reform and Rural Questions Symposia, which are in their tenth edition.He has experience in the field of Sociology, with an emphasis on Rural Sociology, working mainly on the following topics: Rural Settlements and Agrarian Reform, Public Policies and Social Struggles.
