Full Professor in the Infrastructure and Environment Department of the School of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Urbanism at UNICAMP. PhD in Architecture and Urbanism from the University of São Paulo (1999). Masters in Limnology from the University of Stirling in partnership with the Institute of Terrestrial Ecology (1980). Specialisation in Limnology and Dam Management at the University of São Paulo (1987). BA in Biological Sciences [emphasis: Ecology and Zoology] and BSc in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) (1976/77). Member of the Coordinating Committee of the LixoCidadania Forums in the state of São Paulo and the MRC. Member of the Solid Waste Technical Chamber of the Brazilian Association of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering (ABES). Represents UNICAMP on the Development and Environment Council (COMDEMA) of Campinas/SP. At UNICAMP, she is associate coordinator of FLUXUS - Teaching Laboratory in Socio-environmental Sustainability and Urban Morphology (member of ORIS - Observatory of Inclusive and Solidarity Recycling and DASMind), and a member of the Working Groups: WG Physical-Spatial Component of the Hub International Project for Sustainable Development (HIDS). She published 30 articles in international and national journals, as well as 63 articles in the proceedings of international and national congresses. Written 14 chapters in specialised books. Presented 80 scientific papers at national and international events in her field. She has been a member of examining boards for Masters and Doctorate programmes, both internal and external to UNICAMP, and of other judging committees. At UNICAMP, she teaches undergraduate courses in Civil Engineering and Architecture and Urban Planning. In postgraduate studies, she works in the Postgraduate Programme in Civil Engineering (Sanitation and Environment), supervising master's and doctoral degrees and in the Specialisation course in Architecture and Urbanism and Civil Engineering.She has supervised 4 post-doctoral students, 9 doctoral theses, 23 master's dissertations and 56 undergraduate research projects. She is currently supervising 4 doctoral students, 2 master's students and 6 undergraduate students.
