He was graduated in Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine, University of São Paulo (USP, 1987) and got his PhD in Medical Sciences from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP, 2002). Currently he is professor of the Department of Radiology, Faculty of Medical Sciences, UNICAMP, since 2004. He is also Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Internal Medicine of the Faculty of Medical Sciences at UNICAMP since 2019. He was coordinator of the Nuclear Medicine Service at UNICAMP from 2008 to 2019, and scientific director (2006-2008 and 2009-2010), president (2011-2012 and 2013-2014) and director of ethics and professional issues (2017-2018 and 2019-2020) of the Brazilian Society of Nuclear Medicine (SBMN). Publications: 116 full papers in international and national journals; 01 book and 16 book chapters. He supervised 01 Postdoctoral student, 07 Doctorate and 01 Co-supervision, 09 Master's and 01 Co-supervision, 11 Monographs, and 10 Introduction to the Practice of Science for medical students.
