Ana Paula Camargo Larocca

She has completed Civil Engineering from University of Sao Paulo (EESC,1997), Masters in Transportation from University of Sao Paulo (1999) and Doctorate in Transportation from University of Sao Paulo (2004). It was a sandwich PhD in collaboration with University of New Brunswick, Canada (2003). Also, she has accomplished Post Doctorate in Transportation from University of Sao Paulo (2009) and selected as a professor in Transportation Engineering at the University of São Paulo (2016). She had a Research Productivity Scholarship 2 since March 2011. She joined her teaching career at the Polytechnic School (POLI) of the University of São Paulo (2009). At POLI, she operated undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering and postgraduate (master's and doctorate) in Transportation Engineering. In November 2012, the professor was invited by the Department of Transportation Engineering of EESC, to work with undergraduate and graduate programs, through an internal transfer of vacancies. In June 2013, the professor left her adored POLI and began her activities at EESC, at the Civil Engineering and Postgraduate (Master's and PhD) levels. Her area of activity involves the application of Geomatics in Transportation Engineering, in two main directions: - (i) Applied geomatics in the monitoring of road infrastructure and subways and (ii) the application of Geomatics in Road Safety with the use of Digital Terrain Modeling and visualization in Simulated environment. She completed short courses at the Technical University of Delft, Netherland (2015) and the VirginiaTech Transportation Institute, USA (2017). Since June 2016, she has been a coordinator of the Post-Graduation Program in Transportation Engineering.
