He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Bauru Educational Foundation, currently UNESP (1979), a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP, 1997) and a PhD in Sciences from the University of São Paulo (USP, 2000). He is currently a Full Professor of Bauru School of Dentistry of the University of São Paulo, teaching Statistics and Research Methodology disciplines, both undergraduate and postgraduate. Head of Campus of Bauru, USP, since 2012. Has experience in the area of Probability and Statistics, with emphasis on Data Analysis, working mainly on the following topics: oral health, social dentistry, collective health, dentistry and epidemiology.
