Cristina Moerbeck Casadei Pietraróia

BA in French/Portuguese at Universidade de São Paulo (1986), MA in Sciences du Langage at Université Stendhal Grenoble 3 (1990) and PhD. in Languages at Universidade de São Paulo (1996). Having lectured at Université Lumière Lyon 2 from 1987 to 1990, since 1993 she works as professor and researcher of Linguistics, Tradutological and Literary Studies at Faculdade de Filosofia, Letras e Ciências Humanas/USP. Her research focuses especially in the following areas: reading in foreign language (RFL), learning and teaching of French as a foreign language in different contexts and media, history of the teaching of French in Brazil, French textbooks in Brazil since 1837, new information and communication technologies in the teaching-learning of languages. Authored the following books: Percursos de leitura (Ed. Annablume, SP, 1997), Questões de leitura (Ed. Annablume, SP, 2001). In 2003 she was the winner of F de la Francophonie prize, awarded by the newspaper Le Franc-Parler, besides the title of Chevalier des Palmes Académiques, awarded by the French government in 2004. From 2001 to 2007 she was president of the Associação dos Professores de Francês do Estado de São Paulo (APFESP), and both director (1999 to 2001) and coordenator of the French are (1997-2008) within the Centro de Línguas da FFCLH-USP.
