Has undergraduate education at the University of São Paulo (1969), m.s. semiotics by University of Paris-Sorbonne (1974) and a doctorate in public health from the University of São Paulo (1990). Is currently a lecturer of the Faculty of public health, University of São Paulo. Have collective health, with emphasis on public health, acting mainly on the following themes: social communication, health, health promotion of collective speech, qualitative research subject, social representation of health and disease and qualitative methodology is the creator of the subject's speech method and collective Qualiquantisof and QLQTonline software.
