Marcos Fava Neves is a part-time professor at the School of Business Administration of the University of São Paulo in Ribeirão Preto and at the Harven Agribusiness School. He graduated as an Agronomic Engineer from the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture (USP) in 1991 and completed his entire postgraduate career (Masters in Business Administration at FEARP/USP in 1995 and Ph.D. in Business Administration at FEA/USP in 1999) in business strategies, becoming a full professor at USP at the age of 40. He furthered his postgraduate studies in France (1995) and the Netherlands (1998/1999) at Wageningen University. Since 2006, he has been an International Professor at the University of Buenos Aires and, since 2013, at Purdue University in Indiana (USA).Specializing in strategic planning and management, he has conducted more than 300 projects focused on the Brazilian and global agribusiness sectors. He is the author and editor of 80 books published in 10 countries and more than 200 articles in national and international scientific journals, receiving 6,000 citations according to Google Scholar. His notable publications include the Journal of Retailing (2 articles), Marketing Intelligence and Planning, Journal of Business Industrial Marketing, Journal of Research in Interactive Marketing, Journal of Marketing Channels, Journal on Chain and Network Science (3 articles), China Agricultural Economic Review (2 articles), Food Chain Journal, International Journal of Emerging Markets, International Food and Agribusiness Management Review (13 articles), International Journal on Food Systems Dynamics, and many others. In Brazil, his work has appeared in over 30 journals.He has also been a columnist for the China Daily in Beijing (with 80 published articles), Folha de S. Paulo, and has contributed articles to O Estado de S. Paulo and Valor Econômico, totaling over 700 published newspaper articles. Neves has been interviewed by major international outlets like the Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, and CNN, and has delivered more than 1,800 lectures in 22 countries.
