She holds a degree in Economics from the University of São Paulo (1973), a master's degree (1977) and a PhD in Economics (1987) from the University of São Paulo. She is currently a senior associate professor at the School of Economics, Administration and Accounting at USP, and was the leader of PRINUTHA - Integrated Project in Applied Human Nutrition and a member of NAPAN - USP's Center for Support for Research in Food and Nutrition. She has experience in the areas of Health Economics and Food and Nutrition, working mainly on the following topics: Food Security, Nutritional Marketing, Quality of Life, Monitoring and Cost Systems, Social Programs, Economic Evaluation and Price Indexes. She was vice president of the PRONUT Postgraduate Committee from 2010 to 2016 and was president of the Culture and Extension Committee of FEA/USP in 2015/2016. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
