A Masters in Education: History, Politics, Society by the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (1992), Doctorate in Education (1999) and Habilitation (2011), both from the University of São Paulo. Since 1992 is professor at the University of São Paulo. Defended the free-Teaching in 2011 and is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Education. In 2008-2009, was in Spain (UAM, Madrid) as a visiting professor in the Department of Sociology and conducting post-doctoral research. Works in Education, with an emphasis on Education Policy, Gender Relations and Sexual Diversity, acting on the following themes: gender relations, education, sexuality and education policy. Master's and doctoral guides in the areas of State, Society and Education (FEUSP), Sociology of Education (FEUSP) and Human Rights (FDUSP). It is, of which is vice-coordinator of the area of Sociology of Education in Post-Graduation (2010-current); Deputy Head of School Administration and Economics of Education (2012-present), Head of School Administration and Economics Education (1st half of 2013), Assistant Editor of the journal Education and Research (2011-present) and CNPq researcher in the category PQ 2. Leader, along with Marilia Carvalho, the research group Gender Studies, Education and Culture Sexual (EDGES) accredited by the CNPq. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
