Graduated in Philosophy from the Federal University of Paraná (1985), graduated in Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (1983), Diplôme d'Études Approfondies en Logique et Philosophie Anglo-Saxonne from the Université de Nantes - France (1989) and Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of São Paulo (1996). She is currently an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy and Sciences at the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho. She was Vice-Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Philosophy at UNESP from 2014 to 2017, Coordinator of the same program from 2017 to 2020 and alternate member of the Board of the same program since 2021. Member of the Center for Logic, Epistemology and History of Science - CLE - UNICAMP since 2019 and External Member of the Scientific Council of CLE since 2021. Member of the support nucleus of the ANPOF Philosophy of Mind and Information WG. Member of the Brazilian Society of Cognitive Science, the Brazilian Society of Analytical Philosophy and the Complex Systems Society. Advisor at FAPESP, FAPEMIG, CNPq and CAPES and Consultant at CAPES. Develops research in the area of #8203;#8203;Philosophy, with an emphasis on Epistemology, Philosophy of Mind and Information, working mainly on the following themes: Externalist approach to the mind, Self-Organization, Pragmatism, Embodied and Embedded Cognition, Information Ethics, Philosophy of Action, Dynamics of opinion and beliefs, Ecological Information, disinformation and self-deception.
