received his B.S. and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from University of Campinas - UNICAMP, Brazil in 1981, 1986 and 2005, respectively. From 1988 to 1991, he worked as researcher at the Computer Graphics Center in Darmstadt, Germany. He joined the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at UNICAMP in 1984, where he is currently professor at the Department of Computer Engineering and Industrial Automation. His current research interests include computer graphics, image processing, computer vision, computer facial animation, facial spoofing, virtual humans, and scientific visualization.
