She holds a Bachelor's degree (2007), a Master's degree (2012), and a Ph.D. (2015) in Physical Therapy from the Federal University of São Carlos, having been a FAPESC scholarship recipient. She completed her postdoctoral training at The University of Queensland (funded by the Endeavour Fellowship, Australian Government), at the Federal University of São Carlos (funded by the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development CNPq), and at the Federal University of Paraíba (funded by CAPES). She is a faculty member of the undergraduate Physical Therapy program and the Graduate Program in Rehabilitation Sciences, both at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Araranguá campus. She has experience in the field of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy, with an emphasis on Pediatric Neurology and Biomechanics, focusing mainly on the following topics: cerebral palsy, functionality, child development assessment, and rehabilitation. She has training and experience in systematic reviews. She is the leader of the "FisioePedi - UFSC" Research and Extension Group and the coordinator of the "Laboratory of Neurology and Pediatrics (LANEP)" at UFSC-Araranguá.
