Suzana Reck Miranda is associated professor of Arts and Communication Departament at UFSCar. She holds a bachelor's degree in music (piano) from Federal University of Santa Maria (1993), a master's and a doctorate in Multimedia (cinema) from State University of Campinas (2006). She has experience and develops researches in the area of Arts and Communication, with emphasis in cinematographic and musical interpretation, acting mainly on the following subjects: soundtrack, film music, film sound, theory of audiovisual media, filmic analysis, semiotics of music. She is one of the leaders of CNPq Cinemídia Research Group - Studies on History and Theory of Audiovisual Media and currently participates in the project 'Towards an Intermedial History of Brazilian Cinema: Exploring Intermediality as a Historiographic Method' (AHRC / FAPESP) .
