Birthplace: Brazil

I'm an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacology of the Ribeirao Preto Medical School at the University of Sao Paulo. Here, I have been funded through a Sao Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) Young Investigator Grant to study impact of stress during both adolescence and adulthood on the dopamine system and the risk for development of psychiatry disorders. Prior to this, I received a B.S. in Pharmacy from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (2008) before completing a Master (2011) and a PhD (2015) in Pharmacology at the Ribeirao Preto Medical School at the University of Sao Paulo. In addition, I did a postdoctoral training in the lab of Dr. Anthony Grace at the University of Pittsburgh (2015-2018) working on the (des)regulation of the dopamine system using in vivo electrophysiology.
