Tais Pagoto Bélo has a degree in History (2002), from the Universidade Estadual Paulista (Unesp). He holds a Master's degree in Archaeology (2007) from the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology (MAE), of the University of São Paulo (USP). She has a PhD from the State University of Campinas (Unicamp), under the supervision of Prof. P. P. A. Funari and with an internship at University of St. Andews, when she developed the theme of "Boudica and her feminine facets over time: nationalism, feminism, memory and power." In her first post-doctorate she worked on the topic of "Boudica and the collective memory", which was completed at the Institute of Archaeology (IoA), at University College London (UCL), in Public Archaeology, under the supervision of Prof. Schadla-Hall. Her second post-doctorate was on "Romans and Britons: a sampling of women in Britannia", developed at Unicamp, under the supervision of Prof. P. P. A. Funari. She completed a third post-doctorate, with the theme The strength of Roman women through coins and a feminist critique from the past to the present, which was developed at the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology (MAE), at the University of São Paulo (USP), under the supervision of Prof. Vagner C. Porto. She had the opportunity to analyse coins on the same theme during a Post-Doctorate abroad, at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (UBL), with Prof. François De Callata. She is currently working as a Collaborating Researcher at the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology, University of São Paulo (MAE/USP).
