Flávio Lima Lorente

Holds a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Alfenas and a full teaching qualification in Biology from the University of Franca; a Master's degree in Geology from the Federal University of Minas Gerais; and a Ph.D. in Sciences from the Center for Nuclear Energy in Agriculture, University of São Paulo, with a research exchange period at Missouri University of Science and Technology (USA). Completed postdoctoral studies at CENA-USP with FAPESP and CNPq funding, and at the Institute of Geosciences - USP (2017-2019), linked to a FAPESP thematic project. Also completed MBAs in People Management (2021) and Sales Management (2024) at ESALQ-USP.Since his undergraduate studies, he has gained extensive experience in the triad of Teaching-Research-Extension, serving as a teaching assistant in courses within the Biological Sciences at UNIFAL, Geology and Biological Sciences at UFMG, Biological Sciences at ESALQ-USP, and in graduate programs at CENA-USP. Participated in the Teaching Improvement Program (PAE) and interned with elementary and high school Science and Biology students at Anglo School in Orlândia-SP. Developed extension projects focused on Education, in collaboration with public school teachers, in areas such as environmental studies, human sexuality, and reproduction.He is the author of articles in national and international journals, educational materials, book chapters, and the "Palynological Atlas" (FEALQ, 2017). Experienced in paleoenvironmental reconstruction studies, stable isotopes, C-14 dating, palynology, palynofacies, teaching-learning processes, and continuing education for teachers.He has also served as a mentor for MBA programs in People Management and Agribusiness at PECEGE/ESALQ-USP.
