Tuliana holds a degree in Biological Sciences (Licentiate/Bachelors) from the Pontifical Catholic University of Goiás (2006), a Master's in Biodiversity and Genetic Resources (2009), and a Ph.D. in Biodiversity, Genetics, and Evolution (2014) from the University of Porto, Portugal (degrees validated by the Graduate Program in Zoology at IB-USP). She also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Zoology at the University of São Paulo, with an internship at the University of Texas at Arlington, USA. Tuliana is interested in various fields of knowledge, such as biodiversity, environment, genomics, phylogeny, phylogeography, and conservation genetics, especially concerning amphibians and reptiles. Additionally, Tuliana uses climate and environmental data, based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS), to model the past, present, and future distribution of species. Recently, she has collaborated on the development of mechanistic models for reptiles using physiological data. Tuliana works in the technical field as a coordinator and wildlife specialist in environmental licensing, preparing and executing environmental studies and reports, as well as monitoring programs for different types of projects, such as hydroelectric, thermoelectric, photovoltaic plants, energy transmission systems, wind farms, and mining companies.
