Rogerio Schlegel is an associate professor at Unifesp (Federal University of São Paulo), visiting scholar at the University of Columbia in the City of New York and researcher at CEM/Cebrap (Centre for Metropolitan Studies/Brazilian Centre for Analisys and Planning) and at Nupps/USP (Center for Public Policies Studies/University of São Paulo). He is the chair of Unifesps Institutional Evaluation Coordination, of Lave (Campus Guarulho's Audiovisual Laboratory) and of its Social Sciences undergraduation course. He edits the series Textos para Discussão CEM (CEMs working paper series) and contributes as reviewer with Brazilian periodicals (e.g. Revista Brasileira de Ciências Sociais and Opinião Pública) and international ones (e. g. Regional Federal Studies and Brazilian Political Science Review). His Masters and Doctors degree were granted by USPs Political Science Department. He was a visiting scholar at the Centre of Latin American Studies, University of Cambridge (2012-2013), was granted a Research Internship at the Institute of Governance, University of Edinburgh (2010), and was a junior visiting scholar at Nuffield College, University of Oxford (2008-2009). He did a post-doctoral research on the institutional design of the Brazilian Federation throughout the 20th Century, with the support of Fapesp (São Paulo States Research Agency). He is currently engaged on the second phase of the comparative project Why De/Centralization in Federation, with researchers of nine countries. His main fields of interest are Federalism, Public Policies, Comparative Politics, Political Behaviour, Public Opinion, Education and New Technologies. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
