The teacher has a degree in Animal Science from the Universidade Estadual Paulista (Unesp), Faculty of Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences, Jaboticabal (1986), a master's degree in Agronomy (Genetics and Plant Breeding) from the Universidade Estadual Paulista (Unesp), Faculty of Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences , Jaboticabal (1990), PhD in Sciences (Genetics) from the University of São Paulo-FMRP / USP (1999) and Post-doctorate in Molecular Genetics, Biochemistry and Biotechnology of Bacillus thuringiensis at the University of Valencia-Spain (2006-2007). Associate Professor I since March 2018, when she held her Free Teaching competition, with the Department of Biology at the Universidade Estadual Paulista (Unesp), Faculty of Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences, Jaboticabal-SP. In July 2002 she became Associate Professor III through career progression. The professor/researcher has experience in the areas of Basic Genetics, Molecular Genetics and Biotechnology applied to Agriculture. She works in the biological control of pests with an emphasis on the molecular genetics of Bacillus thuringiensis, the expression of insecticidal proteins and studies related to the resistance of insect pests to Bt toxins.
