Ismar holds a Bachelor's degree in MathematicsComputer Science from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (1994), a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Aeronautics Institute of Technology (1997), and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of São Paulo Polytechnic School (2003). He is currently an Associate Professor at Mackenzie Presbyterian University, teaching in undergraduate programs at the School of Computing and Informatics and in the Professional Master's Program in Applied Computing. He is also a professor at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo, where he teaches undergraduate courses and coordinates lato sensu postgraduate programs. He is a member of the scientific communities Latin American Community of Learning Technologies, HCI-Collab, and VG-Collab. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
