She is graduated in Biological Sciences (Graduation Degree) by Júlio de Mesquita Filho São Paulo State University (1973), Degree in Biological Sciences (Medical Modality) by Júlio de Mesquita Filho São Paulo State University (1974), MA in Physiology from Ribeirão Preto Medical School - University of São Paulo (1976), PhD in Physiology, Ribeirão Preto Medical School - University of São Paulo (1980) and post doctorate at Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA (1985-1988) and at Fukuyama University, Hiroshima, Japan in 1991. She was associate professor 1994-2010) at Biochemistry and Immunology Department, Ribeirão Preto Medical School , University of São Paulo . She has experience in the areas of Biochemistry and Physiology, with emphasis on Endocrinology and Metabolism Control, acting on the following topics: hormonal , neural and nutrition regulation of proteins, lipids and carbohydrates metabolism in several physio-pathological conditions.
