Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Faculdade de Medicina de Ribeirão Preto (FMRP) (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal) Birthplace: Brazil
Graduated in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Alfenas (2003). She completed her master's degree at Faculdade de Medicina, USP, Ribeirão Preto, Department of Cellular, Molecular Biology and Pathogenic Bioagents (2008), whose research was related to Medical Mycology, with an emphasis on immunology of the pathogen-host interaction. She obtained his PhD in the same Faculty, Department of Biochemistry and Immunology, whose research emphasized the Biochemistry of filamentous fungi, aimed at elucidating the role of fungal enzymes in the degradation of lignocellulosic material, for the production of second generation ethanol (2013). He also completed a sandwich doctorate, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Rolf A. Prade, Oklahoma State University - USA, where she acquired experience in cloning and heterologous protein expression (2010-2011). She participated of the group of the National Institutes of Science and Technology of Bioethanol, as a Post-doctor, in which she worked in the study of the degradation of modified sugar cane, through the action of enzymes from filamentous, heterologous or wild, for verification increased digestibility, favoring the production of second generation ethanol (2014). She worked as a Post-Doctor at the Federal University of Paraná, in collaboration with Novozymes, working on the Polynol project (2015). She was awarded a PNPD-CAPES scholarship for a postdoctoral degree from the University of São Paulo, USP-RP, under the supervision of Doctor Maria de Lourdes T.M. Polizeli, to improve her studies in the field of enzymology (2015-2019). She works in extension projects with the dissemination of mycology on YouTube (MycoTalk) and Podcast (MycoCast) (Since 2020). She is currently a Visiting Professor at the Institute of Biological Sciences, Department of Parasitology, Microbiology and Immunology at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (Since late 2020). Has experience in the area of Biochemistry, with an emphasis on enzyme, Microbiology, with an emphasis on medical Mycology and Applied, in addition to experience in Biotechnology with an emphasis on Molecular Biology of Fungi, acting mainly on the following themes: Yeasts, Filamentous Fungi, Candida albicans, Vaginal Candidiasis, Immune Response in Vaginal Candidiasis, Histoplasma capsulatum, Cryptococcus sp, Molecular Characterization of microorganisms, Heterologous expression of enzymes in filamentous fungi, Secretoma, Degradation of the plant wall with the aid of fungal enzymes.
