Diogo Santana Martins received his B.Sc. (2006) and M.Sc. (2009) degrees in Computer Science from Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCar), Brazil; and PhD. (2013) degree in Interactive Web and Multimedia Systems from the University of São Paulo at São Carlos, Brazil. He is experienced on research in information retrieval and personalization in electronic learning environments. During his doctoral and post-doctoral (2014) research, he investigated methods for annotation, navigation and extension of interactive multimedia documents, having applied the research to automatic and semi-automatic authoring scenarios. Currently, he is professor at the Centro de Matemática, Computação e Cognição (CMCC) da Universidade Federal do ABC (UFABC), Santo André, Brazil. His research themes include: interactive multimedia systems, ubiquitous computing (particularly capture and access systems and context-aware systems), information retrieval, document engineering, web and mobile computing.
