Bruna Zampieri holds a degree in Biological Sciences from São Paulo State University (UNESP), São José do Rio Preto campus (2006), a Masters (2009), and a Ph.D. (2014) in Health Sciences from the Faculty of Medicine of São José do Rio Preto (FAMERP). She completed a sandwich Ph.D. program (PDSE/CAPES) at the University of Colorado Denver and Case Western Reserve University (USA), where she also conducted her postdoctoral research (20142018). From 2019 to 2024, she was a Young Investigator Fellow, and she is currently a Research Scientist in the Department of Genetics and Evolutionary Biology at the Institute of Biosciences, University of São Paulo (USP). Her research focuses on neurobiological alterations associated with Down syndrome, using iPSCs and astrocyte-derived extracellular vesicles, and is supported by national and international funding. She also collaborates on international initiatives such as the Human Trisome Project-LATAM (NIH-funded) and, since 2024, serves as a member of the Preclinical Committee of the Trisomy 21 Research Society (T21RS).Email: bruna.zampieri@ib.usp.br (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
