Abstract

Ecclinusa campinae is here described as new species from South America. It is known from a single area of lowland non-flooded or occasionally flooded forests on nutrient-poor white-sand soils locally known as campina or campinarana forests in the Parque Nacional do JaA(0), Middle Rio Negro region in northwestern Amazonia. Illustrations are provided, in addition to a key to species of the genus and a comparison of the morphological differences between E. campinae and similar species. (AU)
