Abstract

A comparative morphological study of the genus TheagesWalker was performed. Five species, T. decorum (Schaus), T. griseatum (Rothschild), T. hoffmanni Travassos, T. pinasi Grados, and T. occultus Grados, were redescribed and the previously unknown female of T. pinasi was described. In addition, the occurrence of odoriferous organs on metatibia of some species was recorded for the first time to the genus. A new combination was proposed for Theages darantasium (Druce), comb. nov. All species were illustrated (habitus and male and female genitalia), and their distribution records were updated and discussed. (c) 2019 Elsevier GmbH. All rights reserved. (AU)
